Go Forth fourth!

so I have missed another holiday... I slept through the fireworks and did not eat any watermelon or BBQ... but the good news is we have a wonderful new pair of assistants, and are loving their creative energy! Kendall made the most delicious watermelon gazpacho with mint, and these fabulous little skewers of shrimp and mango and ginger dressed greens ever!And Kristin is so warm and smiley I almost can't stand it! My dearest Ruthie is off to Colorado, she will join the Broadmoor as a catering manager,We will miss her! ( I already warned her about high altitude baking)So change is good, but tiring you know! It has been very hot even here and I am so glad we are in the mountains, a big breeze just popped up and I think it is going to storm, One of those wild summer storms that makes your heart beat a little faster, and after there is a cool wet smell to the air....All is well in our world.... Skye( moms dog) has moved in as she fell while walking him and tore her rotator cuff, but it is so wonderful for Lola to have the company! She really has been much mellower as all they do is run around all day! Too bad Mom is missing him, but he has to lose 33% of his entire body weight after living with her for a few months! So it is for the best you know? Dinner time at the zoo....
