Better late than never!

A month since I blogged last... you'd think I didn't have anything to say, but it was so busy that I couldn't find the time to write anything happy!First, I cannot drag the husband away from the internet car search... It appears that Toyota has a serious flaw in their design of the engine in 2000 Highlanders... there is literally hundreds of complaints about oil consumption problems when these engines reach 125,000 miles but they are pretending there is no problem... sounds a little like their denial of a brake/ accelerator doesn't it!It won't be long before that company is gone at this rate! I guess they were banking on the American habit of replacing cars every few years and were unprepared for the ECONOMIC DOWNTURN... which must, under the old administration, NEVER be called a recession...so that people are keeping their cars for an average of 11 years! We simply loved the highlander, it was all broke in and a great ride for multiple dogs and their baggage. It is lovely to have something that doesn't have to strive for perfection but can be a little worn and torn. There is nothing else in my life like that...clothes must be pressed, paint must be pristine, weeds must be pulled...everything except the car...So we are looking at a BMW , and arguing over size and all things like that! Lola is so big now, and I have to schedule her spay...I am so worried about it, how can you keep the little terror quiet thru recovery? I can't even get her to sleep through the night yet!We have had a major break through in training, she actually used the wee wee pads at my Moms house instead of the livingroom! She finally gets it at home but out in unfamiliar surroundings was a challenge still! Belle is trying to accept her, but Lola is so hyper and in her face...Like she is to us as well! But there is a very good chance that she will be everything we ever wanted in a small dog! She is quite fearless, except with the vacuum! Well, gotta run, there is an Auction today and I have many things to bid on!
